Each year Joel’s Place for Children hosts two special events: our Annual Fundraiser and Butterfly Release. Our annual fundraiser is held every fall. This annual event raises between 65%-75% of our annual budget used to fund our support groups. Learn more about the events below:

Our 13th annual fundraiser, A Fall Celebration, was held on October 12th at Michaud’s in Strongsville, OH. Jul Big Green was our live music performer and DJ! Again we welcomed Cleveland’s Most Sought After Benefit Auctioneer, Bob Hale. Our attendees enjoyed a wonderful evening that raised funds to support our no-cost grief support groups for children and families, and many attendees left with some amazing prizes and auction items. Thank you to all who supported this event!
Annual Summer Butterfly Release
Our second annual event is our Butterfly Release, which is held every summer to gather the families of Joel’s Place during our Summer break, for a celebration of remembrance through releasing live butterflies in honor of those who have died, and gathering for a pot luck lunch in the park.
